Well, I'll cut right to the chase. Here is what somebody commented on it:
Why is it always the homely that want to de-sexualize the female body????
I'm not sure what to think. In one respect, my feelings are hurt and I kind of feel like drowning my sorrows in a 1/2 gallon of ice cream (and, yes, I can eat the entire thing in one sitting). But in another respect, I'm matter-of-fact about it, and it doesn't seem like that big of a deal.
I'm not sure which way to feel at any given moment.
I mean, you all might not know this, but I DO realize I am not the most beautiful person in the world. I may have fooled you because I actually look sort of good (and by "good", I mean semi-descent) in most of the photos that are taken of me. But, in real life, I don't look nearly as "good".
I kind of see myself as a hybrid between Lily Tomlin and Mayim Bialik. You see what I mean?
So, anyway, I guess this is the problem with putting oneself out there on YouTube. Lesson learned, dear Internet. Lesson learned.
Could somebody please tell me something nice today?

I just checked in on youtube to see the comment frenzy. Of the 5,000+ viewers there is bound to be some offensive comments. I bet that "Ronfella" (the guy that posted the comment) is intimidated by the female body as many guys that oppose breastfeeding are.

I read once that most people tend to pick friends who are the same level of attractiveness as they are, so take a look at your friends. If I'm feeling down about my looks (as we are all wont to do sometimes), that makes me feel better, because I think my friends are really beautiful (and that includes you my dear).
Whatever, you are gorgeous! That's so silly. Homely can't possibly describe you. Plus, you're also cute and you have great hair, beautiful eyes, and a magnificent smile. . . wow. . .
That's the trouble w/putting yourself out there. . . you have to endure commentary. That's why I just do cartoons of myself. :)

I just read in People magazine that some 22-yo singer (I'm totally out of the loop - only read it at hairdresser) is having like 13 plastic surgeries b/c people on blogs were making fun of her only 99% totally perfect body parts.
Keep in mind. . . "Nobody kicks a dead dog." That guy must've felt threatened by your Total Awesomeness. If he really thought you were homely and pathetic, he wouldn't have felt inspired to try and insult you. So really, it was a compliment!! :0
And by the way, who says you were desexualizing the female body? You were being totally sexy! :)
You do realize the vast area of human beings that use the internet, right? Like someone else said, there is bound to be one cocky, into himself bastard who likes putting natural, granola women down. Let it go, let it go. You are beautiful inside and out.
People put the WORST comments up on Youtube. I always picture these people to either be 12 yr old boys, or 40 yr old men who live in their mom's basement trolling Youtube just to say stupid things. I know that might not take away the sting of those comments, though. Your video was lovely and light, and I think it's awesome that you put yourself out there to share with others. :)
Instead of seeing breastfeeding for what it is this guy wanted to see some Victoria's secret model with fake boobs up to her chin, a fake tan, and fake highlights with probably a fake baby in the picture too. I think you're beautiful and don't let anyone else tell you different!

First of all, no one's being fooled. Pictures capture you and you're gorgeous and sexy.

So second of all, what does this mean anyway? Have you ever seen pics of celebs in the tabloids when they're not made up for the camera's. No one ever says, "Well sure, she looked great in that movie, but she's actually not hot because I once saw a picture of her in sweat pants after she woke up eating a 1/2 gallon of ice-cream for breakfast."

The question asked is rather spectacularly sideways though. It's like asking (peevishly) "why is it always the yellow dinosaurs that drink low-alcohol beer?" Mindless.
Sorry, I'm behind (as usual). This may make you feel worse about the idiots watching everything on youtube, but hopefully it will put it in perspective for you. When daughter was in a little cheap preschool ballet class, I took videos of their recitals and posted them on youtube so my extended family could watch them. I gave them the titles of the songs they were dancing too, so I guess people found them by searching for the songs. Well, some teenage boy felt the need to post about how bad the kids (3-year-olds, mind you) were dancing and how disgusting it was that some parents were so proud of their talentless children that they posted them on the internet for the world to see. He managed to insult both me AND my tiny little girl. For what? Because he was bored? Who knows. Never pay attention to the stupid people who need to insult strangers to feel better about themselves.

I've seen a really tasteless banner posted in the comments section of blogs when people are having ridiculous arguments, or trolls are trying to drum up drama, and I can't believe I'm repeating this but...
