I was right - I love all those movies too. Well I haven't seen Rushmore. But hubby loved it and I probably will too if I ever watch it. I'll have to see if it's on instant Netflix.
Beth - What are some of your other favorites? I'm curious if I'm missing out on anything...
Is "Eternal Children of the Spotless Mind" a spin on "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind"? Or a misprint? I was so excited to see it on your list because I loved (and own)"Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" and thought it was a sequel or a some kind of mama version....or something. And if it has Mark Ruffalo in it, it would already be in my queue. But I looked it up on Netflix and it wasn't there.
P.S. I never did get past the 1st episode of FNL. I wasn't ready to commit to a whole series. I am more likely to give it up for a movie that is over a a couple of hours than something that gets me hooked and sneaking minutes of screen time when I "should" be doing many other things like, say, playing with my kids.
Robin - Oops, yes, it was supposed to say Sunshine, not Children. I'm going to update that. I just must have children on my mind, no surprise.
you might like Life as a House and Love Me if you Dare.
My brain injury is making it hard to recall titles, but the few I can think of are Amelie, Fantastic Mr. Fox, Whale Rider, Amores Perros, anything by Pedro Almodovar or Wes Anderson (he did Squid and the Whale, Rushmore, Mr. Fox, among others). I loved Frida, and the only two romantic comedies I love are Bridget Jones' Diary and The Wedding Singer. We watch a lot of foreign films, but of course titles are hard to recall. If I think of more I'll come back.
