Positive Things

My posts have kind of been negative lately, so let me tell you all about some good things:

1) It takes Vernon, literally, 3 minutes to WALK to his office everyday.
2) The mountains are beautiful. They're always to the west of me, so I always know what direction I am going.
3) The mattress that we got out of the garbage is actually pretty comfortable.
4) I found a Mom's Night In to go to with the Colorado Attachment Parenting group on Friday.
5) The unschooling group that I've been going to in Boulder is amazing. Boulder itself is amazing.

We went to the unschooling group today and this is where we met:

Isn't it beautiful? I love seeing my kids playing in nature like this. It makes my heart content:

Here is another picture of Peace (don't worry, my other kids were there too, they were just off exploring and were too far away to take pictures of):

We're going to go back to Boulder tomorrow or Friday where we are going to hike up a mountain, stroll down Pearl Street, go to that creek again, and get rooster feathers put into my hair. It should be a good day.

Here's a final picture that I will leave you with. See how I'm starting to decorate our apartment?

Hang in there! The transition from chiro school to life was really hard on us, too. After two years, two towns, and five apartments, we finally moved into a permanent house two months ago. Looking back things went really fast but when you're in the middle of it, it can be excruciatingly slow. Our story is similar: we sold our couch and tv (but kept a lot of crap we are still getting rid of) to save room in the U-Haul. Matt had to work 2 weeks before T9 was over for me so by the time I got to Montana he was sitting in our ghetto apartment with a new $900 flatscreen and some camping chairs. I immediately burst into tears since our baby was due in 2 weeks and I was concerned about having to sit in a camping chair... He ran out and bought a crappy futon which I'm pretty sure added to my difficulty in learning to breastfeed. But we slowly made our way and found our path. We still have that dumb TV but we have a real couch, too. Don't despair! You guys will find your place!

I LOVE these pictures!!! That looks like such a fun and beautiful area to explore, and Peace's little face is so sweet - I love the expression you captured. Gorgeous pics. I'm so glad you are able to see some positive things about where you are, and I'm so happy to see that you're taking pictures. I notice that I don't pick my camera up much when I'm down in the dumps...or maybe that's why I *get* down in the dumps. Who knows.

The CO api group is so lucky to be getting you for a while :)
