So, Vern unpacked our kitchen knives today. It was rather uneventful, as I'm sure most of you imagined it to be well before I did.
I was actually going to unpack the knives myself anyway. And then I was going to post on here, Look... I unpacked the knives! I'm independent and capable and I don't need anybody to take care of me. And Vern wins! See... Vern wins! I don't always have to win! (this is in reference to a comment left by an anonymous poster, possibly my mother, in my previous post about the knives. It kind of ticked me off, that comment did).
Still more news: Vernon has an important meeting tomorrow (which I am also required to attend) about some chiropractic business stuff.
Which means that we have deadline in choosing where he is going to practice.
9:00 a.m.
Tomorrow.
Wish us luck.

Well, when we have a super huge choice looming, we pray. It's not for everyone, but it works for us.
Good luck!
Good luck!
I love this saga of the knives and am curious to see how things unfold now that they are unpacked.
I have done some detective work regarding the anonymous commenter from the previous post. It made no sense that the commenter said, "Allison, you are winning too much." I think the commenter meant to say, "Allison, you are WHINING too much." Whining, as in complaining, as in "Would you like some cheese with your whine?" Poor spelling might be an important clue as to the anonymous person's identity. He/she also used "its mean" instead of "it's (it is) mean").
Therefore, I don't think the anonymous commenter was your mother, my lovely Aunt Anita. I can't see her making 2 such spelling errors. Besides, if your mom is anything like my mom (and she IS, they are sisters), she would have said something short but sweet, like: "You've got legs. Use them to go unpack the knives already." I also don't see any of the Riopelle sisters using the rather wonky phrase "positive change on a larger scale".
That's as far as I can take it as I'm not familiar enough with your inner circle's spelling habits. Maybe Dan Quayle (bad speller, and wonky). Lindsay Lohan (almost certainly bad speller). Not Natalie Portman (went to Harvard).
Note to anonymous: Don't reveal yourself until this episode passes and you can all look back on it and laugh and you are a safe distance from the knives.
Remember me, the one with the broken computer who has to go to the library? It was not my post. Randy was correct, I would have gone back and corrected my errors. You and your whole family have been in my prayers lately. Love you. Mom
PS - I go anonymous because I'm not sure what all those other choices mean.
I hope it went well yesterday!
And now for a few words from Vernon.
Post Randy observation, I agree that Anonymous probably meant "whining" instead of winning. I don't think it occurred to me and probably others earlier because "winning" kind of made sense too.
Regarding Anonymous, I'm usually not a fan of anonymous postings especially when the comment is of a somewhat personal nature. I normally think that a person should be able to be accountable for what they post.
That said... I do appreciate, after I get railroaded, when someone (anonymous or not) posts on here with a comment that is able to see or appreciate both sides of a situation (e.g. an post a while ago from Tina about drinking). And I think Anonymous mostly hit the nail squarely on the head with his/her comments. As I've been feeling more lately that the spirit of some of these posts don't quite fit the title of the blog.
So Anonymous... I'm not calling for you to reveal yourself as I did to another Anonymous (or the same Anonymous?) in a previous blog comment about Allison being judgmental. And at this point, it's probably best for your identity to remain a mystery. However, I think it would be interesting to hear from Anonymous once more before this entire saga is put to rest.
Here's a video of a different saga that also included knives. http://www.hulu.com/watch/116561/saturday-night-live-snl-digital-short-the-tizzle-wizzle-show-jammy-shuffle
At least we're not the Tizzle Wizzles!
And to Anita... I choose anonymous pretty much for the same reasons. Just easier to deal with.
