My birthday is in two days.
I have this tradition of going rollerskating on my birthday. But I just looked at the schedules of the rollerskating rinks in the area and none of them are open on my birthday (except for one that has an adult skate from 8:30-11:00 pm).
Now what will I do?
I also have this thing for celebrating my birthday on the actual date of my birth... so going rollerskating on any other day just won't cut it. It's like people who go on a trip six months after they got married and call it a honeymoon. That's not a honeymoon... it's a vacation.
Seriously... feel free to give suggestions in the comment section. I am disappointed and am at a loss here.

have you tried calling one of those places? if you can bring in enough people, they might open it for you.
I personally don't have a problem celebrating an event a few days before or after the actual date... especially when trying to plan an event with guests. But, that's just me:o)
Do you own roller skates or roller blades? Maybe you can find an open parking lot and skate anyway. Although, I think we are in for more snow on Thu. Or do you ice skate? There are plenty of ice rinks around - open to the public during the day. We have a variety of different sized ice skates if you would like to borrow some for the kids or yourself:o)
You could go to MOA and go on rides - in some ways similar to roller skating.

If you own roller skates, skate at the MOA really fast so security can't catch you. That would be fun and you might make the news.
get a sitter and have a romantic "skate date" instead?
Drive to a the closest city with a rink open at the time you desire. You can't tell me all of the rinks in Minnesota are closed two days from now. Hop in the car and make it an adventure!
If that doesn't work, just rub egg whites on your feet. A birthday without a fever is a good birthday.

I don't think that's the same "Anonymous". The other one uses all caps. Plus, I think they're both funny. They must get my sense of humor.
It's not mocking, don't be so sensitive! You'd think the alternative medicine crowd would be a little more light hearted and have a sense of humor. I really think finding a skating rink in a nearby city and driving there is a fun idea. Sheesh.
