What Is Going On?

What is going on, Allison? Why, in the last several months, have you only posted food recipes and then that one obscure post on evil, where you were probably the only one who even found those thoughts remotely interesting? (Seriously, I was telling Vern about that "nature of evil" stuff on a car ride one day, and I could just see his eyes glazing over, as I continually shouted at him, "Isn't that interesting? Isn't that interesting?")

Let me answer those questions for you, dear readers. Let me answer them now.

What is going on?

Oh, not much. Just busy with life, you know how it is.


Didn't I heard that you were finally moving out of your brother-in-law's house?

Yes! We are moving out on July 1. Just 20 short months since we moved in! Boy, does time fly when you're having fun! We will be moving into an upper level of a duplex that my friend owns in St. Paul. Very nice place. Hardwood floors. Lots of nice woodwork. Three bedrooms.

So, is Ocean going to school next year or what?

Yes! Ocean will be going to school next year! It is a private Christian Montessori homeschool academy. She got accepted, we got a scholarship, and it is a really lovely school. She will be going to school three days a week, so she will still be registered as a homeschooler.

How is Vernon's chiropractic business doing?

Better.

How is your photography business doing?

Wonderful! Have you *liked* me on facebook yet? Here are some slideshows from some births that I've been to this past month. (Go here and here.) I would like to branch out into take videos at birth, but I need to upgrade my camera in order to do that.

Seen any good movies lately?

Yes! I saw this little movie called "The Hunger Games" (I think it was an art-house flick), and it was really good! And this other movie called "We Need to Talk About Kevin" was really well-done, but very, very, oh, so very... dark. "American Reunion" was good (Vern and I went back and watched the three other "American Pie" movies, and that was fun to do. I really like that "American Pie" gang. I really do).
